Over the Easter holidays our youth workers took 31 young people away for 3 days to Walton Firs Activity Centre. The residential trip gave the young people the opportunity to try a variety of activities including archery and climbing. We also ran evening sessions around the theme of friendship.
Freestyle aims to help young people in Leatherhead and Bookham to develop relationships with one another and with the youth workers. The project is intended to provide an opportunity for young people to be away from home, enjoy the outdoors, and try something new.
- 87% of the young people told us Freestyle created opportunities for them to meet new people.
- 79% of the young people said Freestyle helped them get to know the youth workers better.
- 59% said Freestyle has made them more likely to attend BFree and BYouth cafes.
