We started off our half term activities with a Girl’s Night on Pancake Day watching Mamma Mia!, making bracelets and singing karaoke! It was a great way to bring together the girls who regularly attend our BYouth and BFree youth cafes.

Later in the week a group of young people took part in our social action project Making Good where we partnered with Surrey Hills Society and Banstead Commons Conservators. On the first day our young people were cutting down silver birch on Banstead Heath to help make room for heathland species.

The second day saw our young people planting 505 new trees in Guildford to create a 100m hedge as a natural habitat for local wildlife.

The young people were rewarded for their hard work with a trip to Guildford Spectrum to go bowling and swimming.

Alongside our youth work activities, our Counselling and Emotional Well-Being Team continued to see young people during the half term to support their mental health.
