At the end of every school year we survey the young people at BYouth in Bookham and BFree in Leatherhead. This is a great way to have the young people’s voices heard and ensure our projects continue to meet their needs.

Below is a snapshot of the results received:

  • 100% of young people told us that they feel the youth workers are accepting, non-judgemental and encouraging of them at BYouth and BFree

BYouth:

  • 92% said BYouth has helped them with friendships
  • 64% said they have developed new skills by coming along to BYouth
  • 60% said BYouth has improved their ability to talk to others
  • 40% said BYouth has helped with their mental health

“BYouth is amazing, you are sure to be welcome whether you’re new or not, and it never fails to cheer me up on a bad day.”

BFree:

  • 81% of young people surveyed said BFree has helped with their confidence
  • 69% said attending BFree has helped them communicate with others
