He made a presentation to the young people and several other local people about his experience as a Fairtrade farmer.

AllSaints Coffee Grand Opening

On Wednesday 16th January AllSaints Coffee was officially opened by David Hodge (Leader of Surrey County Council)  and Caroline Salmon (Chair of Mole valley District Council). AllSaints Coffee is a coffee shop situated in BFree Youth Cafe. It’s a place for young people to relax with their friends and drink great coffee, hot chocolate, smoothies and fraps at affordable price’s.

AllSaints is managed by Martin Fuller (18) an intern at LYP. Martin leads a team of ten young people aged 14+ who work at AllSaints Coffee in a voluntary capacity. It is a great chance for them to receive professional training as a barista and offers them good experience into the world of work. Over 100 people attending the opening including 40 local young people. We intend to open up AllSaints Coffee as a community drop-in on a Saturday or Sunday in the near future, so that anyone from North Leatherhead can experience our great coffee and THE BEST HOT CHOCOLATE AROUND!

We have had 22 young people contributing to articles, artwork and interviews. The Winter edition looks at local stories around the topics of Homelessness, Young mums, Christmas and Being a Teenager. We have also started our 180 training program, which is currently training young people to Design ONE EIGHTY.

We are always looking for interesting local stories and to partner with local people and organisations, so if you’re interested please do not hesitate to get in contact.
